Through the money paid by customers in their monthly payment of their electricity bills, Alabama Power Company has been able to meet over three quarters of its financial obligations. It is estimated that 80% of the funds used by Alabama power company comes from customers either paying their electricity bills or entry of new customers who come to seek the help of Alabama power company in case of power failure in their houses. Suppliers are also key primary stakeholders who heavily facilitate the functioning and effective running of Alabama power Company. Southern Company is the main suppliers of all the necessary equipments necessary for the generation of electricity by Alabama Power Company (Atkins, 2006). Finally the other key primary stakeholders of the Alabama power company are the employees. Alabama company employees have for long been the backbone towards the success of the company. They always utilize their technical and technological skills in their daily duties to ensure the company operations are successful. They have always provided necessary help to customer on behalf of the company. Some of the secondary stakeholders of Alabama Power Company include the government, the general public, and the media. For instance, the state government has in many occasions helped the Alabama power company to operate even in case of financial difficulties. To some extent, the government has severally exempted the company from taxes during economic downturn periods (Atkins, 2006).
